Rochdale Cider

New Zealand based Supply revives an old classic

The apple brand with the stencilled lettering is “a visual reference to the fruit stamps many of us created as kids.” This communicates the the product while being graphically beautiful. “The typographic layout and hierarchy of messaging reference old boxing posters and newspaper ads, matched by the authentic textures of antiqued paper and screen printing. Its strong shelf appeal has been a key element in Rochdale’s success.”

The package is graced with a reinvention of the coffee cup stain. Look closely at each stain and the detail that comes out is amazing. An illustrative treasure that may not be found at first glance. Placement on the white means prime attention and a lovely crisp outcome.

One Village

Designed by Able

Packaging that provides entertainment is key and there is no doubt that this package does that. This adds value to this product as it is likely the consumer is going to read and re-read this package as they wait for the kettle to boil. A well played tactical move. Beautiful use of colour, type and illustrated infographics.

FRANCIS COPPOLA RESERVE

Designed by Stephen Faustina

The Coppola promise is to make every visit to the winery memorable and unique. The Francis Coppola Reserve is a limited production wine that showcases distinctive vineyards. The labels present a unique experience in themselves; “The artwork of film production designer Dean Tavoularis graces the labels of our FC Reserve wines. Tavoulraris met Francis Coppola during the making of The Godfather and the two artists have continued to collaborate over the years on a variety of creative projects, including more than a dozen films, the courtyard and fountain of Rubicon Estate in Napa Valley and the interiors and exteriors of the Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Sonoma.”

Aesthetically this is an outstanding drop.

Meringue

Designed by Samira Khoshnood

These delicate, complex yet simple packages designed by student Samira Khoshnood do wonders for these products. Shape and colour are used to emulate qualities of the tasty treats and the packages manage to add value to the product. The origami-inspired cookie box emulates the folds and peaks of meringue cookies. And the macaroon boxes focus on the colours.

FUEGO

Designed by Stephanie Hughes

“Fuego Hot Sauce was designed to educate people about the Scoville Scale and inform them about the types, uses, and ways to use hot sauce in an engaging and exciting experience. I wanted to evoke the authentic feel of the sauces and showcase their natural colors and flavors. By giving the product a sturdy bottle and hearty labeling system, people can feel confident using the product and know exactly what heat level they use according to the scaling system.”
